Yup, K, I’ve amended my link. I don’t know why I posted the German race track.
I don’t specifically remember the opera + robots + hatchback advert, but I did know exactly what the “Hand built by Roberts” slogan was spoofing.

My parents had NTNOCN LPs, so I grew up with the Hedgehog Sandwich and Gerald the Gorilla (“All I ever hear is David BLOODY Attenborough!”). Think my particular favourite, or at least the bit I remember best, was Rowan Atkinson’s Barry Manilow impression which, in the same vein as Kenny Everett’s expanding Rod Stewart bum sketch, involved a progressive rhinal tumescence of (anti-semitic?) Biblical proportions!
