The forthcoming Armando Iannucci series, Time Trumpet, looks like my kind of programme. It appears to be a nostalgia show set in 2031, in which celebrities reminisce about events like the shooting of Tony Blair, a beautiful fireworks display over Baghdad, the day Dale Winton exploded, and a home shopping channel that sells nothing but bacon.
A bit like the incontinent elephant on Blue Peter, but even more so. Golden memories!

The preview was great, but it clashes with House, to which we’ve become addicted, if occassionally disappointed. House is like a relationship where you’re a little bored, and you’ve spotted something more exciting, but you’re too comfortable to throw in the towell.

A lot of American TV is like that. Courtney will watch shows that she admits have gone off the boil, and I have no idea why.

wow my spelling was bad in the last comment. lucky I’m not a teacher any more. We’ve just got freeview and I’m hoping that time trumpet will turn up amongst the endless re-runs soon. Hopefully when we move we’ll get more channels too – all the zimmer frames in bexhill interfere with the reception.
