Lazy Monday Afternoon

My blog session in the wee hours of the morning cleared my head and sent me back to sleep nicely. Today’s a day off. I had various plans involving DV cameras and movie watching but they’ve all fallen through, so I’m sitting at home researching DV equipment prices and tinkering with the blog. Let me know if the new colour scheme burns your eyes.

    It’s a bit “spare room”…

James, is this more or less “spare room”?

Meg, are you prepared to slug it out with James in defence of yellow?

I haven’t decided what colour I’m going to settle on yet, so make suggestions.

I like the old one better. However, maybe a better border between the two colors might help. Right now, the lack of a border reminds of me of a livejournal.

Gah! No, back to the yellow. I’m not too fond of this turkwhaaaz shade.

I’m not really a “slug it out” sort of guy – plus I’d lose to Meg. I will just say that I much prefer this spirited cyan/marine/turquoise hybrid than the Ikea-tastic “magnolia” or “apple blossom white” or “champagne” or whatever it was. More than that though, I don’t really think it was consistent with the overall tone of Junkopia.

I like yellow. yellow says, I’m not afraid to be happy. plus I just liked it along with the orange comment lettering. but whatever floats your boat!

It seems we’ve gone all functional and German. Vorsprung dur technik and all that.

Yeah. I thought I’d go for a background colour that *nobody* would like.

Well, Satanic Crimson falls squarely under that category…

I have been told by the missus that I should point out that the quip about Satanic Crimson is made in jest and that the red doesn’t look too bad at all, thank you very much, although we do still think the pale yellow was best.

However, with this colour on its virtual walls, I do feel like Junkopia is some bawdy house of ill repute. I feel quite dirty being here.

Well, this is a blog of ill repute, so clearly the colour scheme works very well indeed. I think I might end up going for a nice Martha Stewart-friendly taupe. Taupe – the colour of the gated community.

I like this red-ish colour – it works for me. It’s not quite as awesome as the RED that once adormed your parents’ hallway but it’s still a marked improvement on that ill-advised battelship-grey.
